For me, every design challenge is a chance to push boundaries. Whether I’m refining a mechanical system or improving a product, I love the process. It’s not just about solving problems, but really diving deep to understand them, coming up with solutions, testing them, and then refining those ideas until they truly make a difference. In today’s fast-changing world, where technology and needs are constantly evolving, design is how I contribute to progress, innovation, and sustainability.
At the end of the day, I design to make things work better - whether that’s for people, businesses, or the environment. It’s about creating something that’s meaningful, purposeful, and built to last.

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING, BIMOTAL INC
As Director of Engineering, I have had the pleasure of managing Rajat at Bimotal, a company that builds small electric powertrains for high-performing vehicles. As a mechanical engineer at a small company, Rajat confidently handles broad responsibilities across the full mechanical stack, including conceptualization, design, testing, and supply chain. He shows great creativity and thoroughness in solving mechanical design challenges. For example, when one of our products experienced failure of a unique polymer helical gear, Rajat led testing efforts to root cause the issue and prove the viability of his design improvements. This was instrumental in the launch and production ramp of the product. He has worked on a number of complex structural and NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) improvements to various parts of our product, making an outsized positive impact as a young engineer.
Rajat is easy to collaborate with - he’s communicative, cares about the success of others, and takes initiative. He brings ideas to the table while also continually adapting to the team and company’s big-picture goals, even when those goals change rapidly. For example, when we needed to improve supplier redundancy in order to stabilize our supply chain for machined and injection-molded parts, Rajat was the primary contributor in an organized effort to seek out new suppliers and validate them against various metrics. Perhaps most importantly, Rajat is incredibly passionate about engineering and problem-solving. He’s constantly motivated to learn new things, and he brings energy to the team.
HEAD - RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, RIETER INDIA LTD
Rajat is a brilliant and gifted Mechanical Engineer. He comes across as a fast learner and is always keen to try out new ideas / processes. He worked with our Mechanical Team and supported to solve problems as well as helped with designing details. He has a good understanding on various subjects. He is mature well beyond his age and understands the culture of the Organizations and adapts very well to it. He has a sincere and hard working attitude. What I liked most about Rajat was the clarity in his thinking about his career goals and aspirations. It was indeed a pleasure to have Rajat on our Team.
PHD STUDENT AT UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON
Rajat was an excellent researcher in the Molecular Biophotonics Laboratory, helping lead development of a miniature microscope for surgical guidance. During his time in the lab he showed a strong ability to learn new technical skills in biomedical research, including conducting imaging studies and aligning optical instruments. He also put his background in mechanical engineering to work, helping design and assemble the mechanical components of the miniature imaging device, which we continue to use.
Aside from his technical skills, Rajat is a pleasure to work with. He is very collaborative and routinely offers to help with tasks, even if they aren't his responsibility. He is always looking to learn and is not afraid to ask questions - this speaks to his flexibility in shifting to new areas of work. I wish him all the best going forwards.
